The Yoga of Understanding
sāmkhya-yoga
It is not able to be cleaved in two, burned, wetted, dried;
It is eternal, all-pervasive, unchanging, and immovable.
acchedyo ‘yam adāhyo ‘yam
not to be pierced, this, not to be burned, this,
akledyo ‘soṣya eva ca
not to be wetted and not to be withered,
nityaḥ sarvagataḥ sthāṇur
eternal, all pervading, fixed,
acalo ‘yam sanātanaḥ
unmoving, this, primaeval
This cannot be pierced, burned,
Wetted or withered;
This is eternal, all pervading, fIxed;
This is unmoving and primeval.
At the thick-haired Arjuna’s command, the bristling-haired Krishna brought the principal chariot to a stop between the two armies— in front of Bhishma, Drona, and all of these sovereigns of the world.

“Look, Arjuna. From here you can see
all the Kurus who are gathered to do battle.
At Guḍākeśa’s words, O Bhārata, Hṛṣīkeśa stationed the fine chariot between the two armies, before Bhīṣma, Droṇa and all the kings, and he said to the Pārtha, “Behold the Kurus assembled!”
