The Yoga of Discriminating the Field and the Knower of the Field
kṣetra-kṣetrajña-vibhāga-yoga
For seeing the same Lord standing everywhere equally,
He does not injure the self through the self;
Thus he goes to the supreme goal.
samam paśyan hi sarvatra
the same seeing indeed everywhere
samavasthitam īśvaram
established the Lord
na hinasty ātmanā ‘tmānam
not he injures, by the self, the self.
tato yāti parām gatim
then he goes to the supreme goal.
Seeing indeed the same Lord Established everywhere,
He does not injure the Self by the self.
Thereupon he goes to the supreme goal.
At the thick-haired Arjuna’s command, the bristling-haired Krishna brought the principal chariot to a stop between the two armies— in front of Bhishma, Drona, and all of these sovereigns of the world.

the other great kings, he said:
“Look, Arjuna. From here you can see
all the Kurus who are gathered to do battle.
At Guḍākeśa’s words, O Bhārata, Hṛṣīkeśa stationed the fine chariot between the two armies, before Bhīṣma, Droṇa and all the kings, and he said to the Pārtha, “Behold the Kurus assembled!”

“Arjuna, behold all the Kurus gathered together.”

paśyan (m. nom. sg. pr. participle act. √paś), seeing, beholding, discerning.
hi, indeed, truly.
sarvatra, everywhere, on all sides.
samavasthitam (m. acc. sg. p. pass. participle sam ava √sthā), established, existing.
īśvaram (m. ace. sg.), lord, prince, ruler.
na, not.
hinasti (3rd sg. pr. indic. act. √hins), he injures, he hurts .
ātmanā (m. inst. sg.), by the self.
ātmānam (m. acc. sg.), the self.
tatas, then, from there.
yāti (3rd sg. √yā), he goes.
parām (f. acc. sg.), supreme, highest.
gatim (f. acc. sg.), goal, path
