The Yoga of Discriminating the Field and the Knower of the Field
Hear from me briefly what this field is,
What it is like, what its modifications, and whence it comes,
As well as who he (the knower) is and what his powers.
kṣetrajñam cāpi mām viddhi
and the field knower also me, know!
in all fields, Descendant of Bharata
of the field and the field knower, the knowledge
yat taj jnānam matam mama
which that (true) knowledge considered by me.
Know also that I am the knower of the field
In all fields, Arjuna;
Knowledge of the field and of the knower of the field,
That is considered by Me to be true knowledge.
