The Yoga of Arjuna’s Crisis
arjuna-visāda-yoga
And when they were placed facing Bhīsma,
Drona and all the princes,
He said: O Son of Prthā (Arjuna),
Behold the assembled Kurus!
bhīṣmadronapramukhatah
Bhīṣma and Drona in front of
sarveṣām ca, mahīkṣitām
and of all these rulers of the earth
uvāca pārthas paśyāitān
said the Son of Prtha: Behold these
samavetiān kurūn it
come together the Kurus, thus.
in front of Bhishma, Drona, and all of these sovereigns of the world. Then, the Partha, Arjuna son of Prthi, said: “Behold the Kurus readied!”
Facing Bhishma, Drona, and
the other great kings, he said:
“Look, Arjuna. From here you can see
all the Kurus who are gathered to do battle.
At Guḍākeśa’s words, O Bhārata, Hṛṣīkeśa stationed the fine chariot between the two armies, before Bhīṣma, Droṇa and all the kings, and he said to the Pārtha, “Behold the Kurus assembled!”

and all the kings of the earth, said:
“Arjuna, behold all the Kurus gathered together.”
bhīṣma, the elderly Kāurava warrior, great uncle of Arjuna. drona, Kāurava warrior, a Brahman by birth and, like Bhīsma, a teacher of warfare.
pramukhatas (adv.), lit. “before the face,” opposite, in front of, before the eyes of. (bhīṣma-drona-pramukhatas, TP cpd., in front of Bhhīṣma and Drona.)
sarveṣām (m. gen. pl.), of all these.

kurūn (m. acc. pl.), Kurus, the ancient tribe from which both the Paṇḍavas and the Kāuravas are descended. iti, thus, indeed (used here, and frequently, at the close of a quotation).
